Often the final stages of recovery involve a slow and controlled re-entry into intensive training sessions. CrossFit is a fitness program that is accessible to everyone, regardless of fitness or skill level. It can be customized to fit your needs, and because of this versatility, there’s never a dull moment. A CrossFit regimen is scalable by load and intensity- the program itself stays the same. That means that you could be doing the same routine as a pro athlete, but your weight and rep amounts would be altered to fit your ability level.

Dynamic warm-up: this includes stretches and functional movement that compliments the rest of the workout. Jumping jacks, squats, lunges, pull-ups, and pushups are examples of a few of the warm-up activities.

Skill or strength work: depending on the day, you may be working on strength by doing deadlifts or squats. Or, you will do exercises that work on skill such as muscle-ups or single-legged squats.

Workout of the Day (WOD): These exercises vary greatly, and this section is where you do as many reps as quickly as you can during a set amount of time.

Cool down & stretching: The goal is to reduce your heart rate gradually and give muscles time to recover from the strain of the workout.
